SASIG – Outstanding Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)
Founded in 2004, the SASIG (Security Awareness Special Interest Group), is a thought leadership forum in cybersecurity. We support the development of the cybersecurity industry through a series of physical events, webinars, and masterclasses throughout the year as well as a number of networking opportunities. We aim to improve trust and confidence in the online environment, covering the topics at the forefront of all our minds. We examine both the technical and the softer cybersecurity issues, including the human factor. We provide an environment where security professionals can gather privately to explore contentious and challenging cybersecurity issues in greater detail, helping us understand the challenges across the sectors and spot any cross over and trends.
We have over 10,000 members within thousands of organisations of all sizes from across the world and from all sectors, public and private. Drawn from CISOs and other decision-makers and influencers who are responsible for security in their organisations. Professionals from other disciplines (risk, HR, legal, supply, etc.) and representatives from government, law enforcement and academia are also increasingly attracted and welcomed to our events.
Our membership is completely free and all SASIG membership requests are vetted to ensure that our membership is restricted to industry frontliners only. Our events are a non-sales space, exclusively made up of security professionals, with the exception of our vetted supporters who contribute to the community.
